What is population in Africa like?

A great cultural contrast

Over 1,000 language are spoken in Africa. The most common ones are Arabic in the northerm counties, Hausa in the west and Swahili in the east and south.

There is also a wide range of ethnic groups and comunities, such as the Berbers in the north, Bantus, Hottentots and Bushmen in the south and Pygmies in the basin of the River Congo.

The most popular religions are Christianity, Islam and Animist religions.
